18 gauge IV catheter tip
Suture material
Few surgical instruments
Microscope
Step 1:
Anesthetize








Step 2:
Place on table
In dorsal recumabent
position
Step 3:
Shave and prep
surgical site
A 1.0cm
midline
incision is
made at
mandibular
region and
tissue is gently
retracted.
The incision exposes
the thyroid cartilage, the
cricoid cartilage and the first
few rings of the trachea
making for excellent surgical
exposure.
