Lab Procedure

1. Obtain an Erlenmeyer flask and a balloon. Stretch out the balloon several times so its not so tight.
2. Pour 20 mL of Vinegar into the flask.
3. Put one flattened teaspoon of baking soda into the balloon using the funnel.
4. Stretch the balloon over the mouth of the flask WITHOUT letting baking soda fall into the flask.
5. Tip the balloon up so the baking soda falls into the vinegar.
6. Describe all of the changes you see in the bottle and the balloon in the space below. Be particularly careful
to look for signs that a chemical reaction has taken place.
