John Paul made a history by
becoming the first non- italian

pope in more than 4 hundred
years ago. He visited more than
100 countries to spread a
message of faith and peace.
3. Why did the Church declare them
a Saint?
he was brave and forgave people
that made the wrong decisions

4. How did they do the right thing
and what difficulties did they
face?
an assassin shot John Paul two
times in the St. Peters square, in
a city called Vatican City.
Apparently he was able to
recover from his injuries and
forgave the person who
attacked him.

5. What major obstacles did they
have in their life?

his mum died when he was 9
years old and his brother died
when he was 12 years old. He
also had a disease called
Parkinsons Disease. when he
went to the public he wasnt
steady on his feet and usually
trembled

6. What did people think of them?
Both positive and negative views.
Negative- some people said
think that whoever that disagrees
with him, he will be harsh to
them.
