Personal Statement

I am an energetic ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any
task that I undertake, or any situation that I am presented with. I am a hard worker with strong
computer skills and general office experience, who is well organised and efficient. I am a person who
has experience with working to tight deadlines as well as under pressure, while maintaining a
friendly and approachable attitude with excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills and can
multi-task to a high standard. I am the sort of person that can overcome an obstacle and personal
weaknesses, I also want to go back to university through OU and complete my degree.

March 10 2014 Current Ecohouse Group Developments
- Assistant to Head of IT (Web Development Assistant)
Directly support the Head of IT to implement new working systems and online marketing.
Responsibilities included coding and creating mailers, and updating the database with relevant
information.
Coded 20 plus mailers within a weeks time frame for a launch, while at the same time fixing
database issues.
Coding and creating responsive websites to industry standards using Bootstrap and Dreamweaver.
Posting news stories to keep content fresh and current and up with the times.
Helping staff with day to day IT issues: such as trouble shooting mail issues and basic pc repair.
Improving internet security and database security: By using pen testing and vulnerability testing
techniques I was able to stop a dos attack on one of the sister company websites. As a result the
website was able to enjoy a 98% uptime.

June July 2012 Work Experience with ISD (Isle of Man)
This was a 5 week work experience as part of my BSC course.
Analysis of the usage of their intranet site to see how it was being utilised and how often it was
visited by staff and which pages were the most popular. Collate and gather all departmental phone
numbers address and other potential records that the general public would need in order to better
contact certain departments. This went into a huge redesign of the government website and as such
information had to be incredibly accurate. Redesign of in house forums to better aide staff, the
forums were generally out-dated and therefore needed both to be more accurate and better
designed for todays use.

In the course of the year we covered how to implement and understand the following.
Created and developed databases to todays exacting standards and principles including the use of
excel and visual studio.
How to create websites with the entire design cycle including story boarding and sketching, as well
as incorporating management life cycles as well as to w3C standards.
Java programming basics as well as more advanced programming which included everything from
making a simple list program to a mars lander game.
Investigation and research techniques which help glean a better understanding to any project given.
As well as an introduction into computer systems, this covered how they work and how they are put
together and how to set up servers and the like.

14.09.2009 25.06.10 CIW V5 Foundations Course
Featured project management and lifecycles as well as how multimedia interacts with the web and
how to create and design using flash elements and PHP and CSS. In-depth look into ethical and legal
issues when it comes to creating websites the dos and donts such as copyright infringement etc.
Using Dreamweaver and the other such design software for creating websites and how to use that in
conjunction with Photoshop. How to effectively, use Flash action script, with the use of masks and
other such practical uses as well as how to use java applets and implement them in web design
effectively as well as the ins and outs of website publishing and maintenance including database
creation and maintenance.

development using HTML and how to create effect tables and div tags for more advance table
creation as well as HTML encryption and basic database creation including frame building and usage.
How to File to File transfer, using FTP including how to implement graphics, into a website in the
correct manner and how to use them more effectively. Proper use of links (Hypertexts) Meta data
and header and footer tags. Hoe to implement and proper use of JavaScript, DHTML and linking it all
together using MS Access.
National Diploma Confetti School of Recording Technology
4 years training and working within a live studio which included everything from setting up the desk
to recording live bands. Including theory into acoustics, and how sound is affected by acoustics as a
whole.
Microphone Techniques that included optimal placing of the mics how they alter sound and
different affects you can get by different placing. Control room set ups and advance acoustics.
