Preamble Phrase Picture Why Picture Was Chosen

We the People of the United

States

I chose this picture because the
American flag represents the
United States and the people
seem to be celebrating/ taking
pride in the flag.
In Order to form a more perfect
Union

I chose this picture because it
shows people
uniting/connecting.
Establish Justice

I chose this picture because the
scales of justice represents
finding justice through a system.
Insure domestic tranquility

I chose this picture because its a
peace symbol with the United
states flag embedded in it.
United States flag refers back to
being domestic.
Provide for the common defense

I chose this picture because it
also has a domestic
appearance with the United
States flag imaged as well as the
symbols that show military
defense. The US uses tanks,
ships and planes when
defending.
Promote the general Welfare

I chose this picture because it
shows the woman on a
megaphone. Megaphones are
used to express loudly =
promote.
And secure the Blessings of
Liberty to ourselves and our
Prosperity

I chose this picture of the Statue
of Liberty because the word
liberty stands out in this phrase.
I also thought of the liberty bell
but the crack in it does not
represent security. This picture
was more sufficient as it again
incorporates the American flag.
Do ordain and establish the
Constitution for the United
States of America

I chose this picture because it
has a document with a seal that
is being executed: representing
the document as established and
official.

Picture the Preamble Reflection

While completing the Picture the Preamble table, I initially was more concerned with the
requirements for completing the assignment. I wanted to ensure I had the correct materials and
resources to complete the assignment. As I began preparing for the assignment, I begin to fall back into
the student role again. I found myself enjoying the time I spent describing a phrase to express my own
ideas of the preamble phrases, when I completed the planning sheet. The keyword search was easy to
establish once I had the description of what the phrase means. By the end of the planning sheet I was
eager to move on to the next part of the assignment which included actually building a word processing
table.
Once I created my chart and added the phrases, I went on my search for what the phrase means
to mean and how I could best represent the phrase through a picture. A couple of the pictures that I
imagined did not appear with the keywords I initially entered so I had to be more specific about what I
was looking for. I found a picture for each phrase that I was pleased with. The most challenging phrase
to locate during the keyword search was the one involving promoting welfare. While the least
challenging phrase to find with the keyword search was images representing the United States and the
American flag. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and think completing this assignment as a participant
gives me even more insight on lesson planning as well as creating a word processing project.
