Create a classroom Twitter hashtag (#)
Examples:
Live feed to remind students of deadlines for assignments, tests, quizzes, projects,
etc.

Classroom news feed for parents/students to stay up-to-date

Post classroom changes in rules/policy/grading, etc.

Way to connect with other members of community and/or globally

Communicate with members of class if a calamity day occurs(Ex: Snow, Hurricane,
Loss of power etc.


Check to see your school permits prior to integrating within the classroom.
Ways students can participate in Twitter
Ask students to quote their favorite person (Ex: History) or discuss a specific
theme

Collaborate as a class by answering a particular question, etc.

Send out pop quizzes and will count as bonus points for class

Tweet notes/pictures from class (do not use student faces)

Provide homework help session

Post pictures from a field trip or class activity (no student faces unless
permission is granted)

Use as a Do Now Question, Exit Pass, or extension of the lesson
