Ladies and gentlemen, your honor, dear members of the jury.

I am Petru Mitu , and my

colleague here Dumitru Ambroci will represent the state during the entire trial. There is one
reason why you are present here at the court. Daniels Family Store was burglarized on the
night of 5
th
of April. The defense here admits that their client is not involved in this crime,
but we are here to prove the other. My task for today is to prove that Roman is guilty with
what he is charged. But its about you who will decide Romans near future. You represent
the voice of your society, and you know better what you should or should not tolerate, what is
good and what is wrong, its about you who will decide this.
Today the evidence will show that our defendant had a reason to commit this felony. Also our
evidence will settle down that Roman had a motive to choose the wrong path, and the
evidence will prove that Roman had a great possibility to reach his goal of committing this
crime. All these evidences will prove one thing, it will result with a clear prove that Roman is
guilty with all of what he is charged.
I know everybody at least once during of his or her entire life did wrong things, if not!, then I
am sure that you have friends or relatives who did. But what is beautiful of being a human?
We can correct ourselves, to be responsible and to face the consequences. We can give
Roman a chance to rehabilitate himself, and we are ready to forgive him. Is Roman ready? I
dont know.
I ask you to pay attention. During the trial we will interrogate witnesses , we will show some
evidences and will give you time to think. I will ask you at the end of the trial to convict
Roman, and you will see why. Thank you for your attention.
