RATIONALE FOR THE LESSON:


The students are developing their reading skills. Earlier this year the student orked on !aking
predi"tions hile they ere reading ne #ooks and they have #een pra"ti"ing this skill $or several
eeks. The students are no learning to !ake te%t&to&sel$ "onne"tions in their reading and are
struggling to $ully grasp the "on"ept at this point. Eventually the "lass ill !ove on other types
o$ "onne"tions in"luding te%t&to&te%t' te%t&to&orld and te%t&to&!edia.
