Re: Colorado U.S. Senate Race

Our recent statewide poll of likely voters in Colorado conducted for Project New America
shows Sen. Mark Udall with a narrow lead over Rep. Cory Gardner. Udall receives 47% to
Gardner’s 44%, while 1% say they will vote for another candidate and 7% are undecided.
(This ballot asked initially undecided voters which candidate they lean towards).

If the November 2014 election for Senate were held today, and the
candidates were … for whom would you vote?

Udall holds a strong lead among women and captures a majority of Hispanic voters and
voters under 50 years old. Each candidate receives more than 80% of registered members
of their own party, and Udall leads among independents by 49%-37%.

We conducted 600 total interviews in Colorado with a voter registration based sample of
likely general election voters. The interviews were conducted October 15 – 16, 2014 by live
callers who contacted both cell and landline phones. Our sample consists of 38% registered
Republicans, 33% registered Democrats and 29% who are members of other parties or
unaffiliated.
