Daily: Daily observations of sketches/paintings as they are being developed

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21
Learning Target- TSW learn how artists
have used forced connections to create
an art piece. TSW know this once he/she
makes a sketch for his own forced
connection piece.

Do Now: Pick one card from each box at the front of the
room. Start developing a sketch that incorporates and 2-3
words from those cards.
-Discuss forced connection project
-Show students examples from Trishs Creative Imagery

create value and mix colors using
watercolor and colored pencil. TSW

values in his/her piece using one of these
media.

piece in terms of color. TSW know this
once his/her piece can be flipped in any
direction and still appear balanced.

on these questions: are the colors in the piece balanced? If
not, how can that be achieved?
Work on piece, ensuring the piece has strong color
balance.
