Once upon a time there lived a happy royal family in Mexico. It was a small
family of three, a king, queen, and a princess. Each day the mother combed the
princesss hair. One day she came across a small louse! The mother screamed and
ordered the princess to show her father the louse that was in her hair. The king
reacted differently than the princess expected. With a smirk on his face he said, Put
the louse in a jar. I want to see how big this louse can grow if it feeds off of royal
blood. The king had a brilliant idea in mind.
Each day the princess took the louse out of the jar and let it feed on her
royal blood just like her father asked. Day after day she continued this routine. This
was really boring for her after a couple of days. The princess decided to take the
louse on a trip! She took the jar with the louse and ran down street and took the
louse on a little boat for tourists. She explained her entire village to the louse. They
became best friends. Each day she took the louse on a different trip and they had a
great time.
All of a sudden, the louse began to grow way to big and it was really had for
the princess to carry the louse around her village. The king was pleased with the
size of the louse, but wanted the louse to be even bigger! The princess continued to
feed the louse her royal blood each day. The louse grew so large that the princess
could no longer take her friend on any more adventures. Life was boring again for
the princess and the louse.
A couple weeks later the king decided the louse was the perfect size. The
louse could no longer move! The princess was devastated and would sit and talk to
her louse for hours because it couldnt move. The king realized that the princess had
created a relationship with the louse. That night when the princess was asleep the
king killed the louse! The next morning the princess was crying so loud the entire
village could hear here. She asked her father how the louse died and the father said
that it was too big and died in its sleep.
While the princess was depressed he ordered the royal tailor to tan and
tailor the louse skin in order to make a coat. The coat was better than anything he
had ever imagined. Everyone was wondering what type of animal created this
amazing coat. No one could guess the right answer. The king knew that this would
be the best riddle in order to marry off his daughter. Whoever could answer the
riddle right would get to marry the princess as a reward.
One day while the king was laughing about the riddle a pastor walked by the
royal castle. The pastor heard the king bursting out laughing so he stopped to find
out what was going on. The pastor stuck his head in the window when he heard the
king scream, No one will ever solve my riddle! The coat is made of louse! The next
day the pastor ran to the castle and told the king the answer to the riddle. Both the
princess and king were very pleased. The pastor and princess got married the next
day! The pastor and princess lived happily ever after.
