Members enjoyed a lovely outing to the PawSox in May!

At the May meeting:
We enjoyed Liz Maynards : Gendered Notions, an art history
discussion on images represented in art from 1657 through Post
Second World War era and into the present. We will look at graffiti
and yarn bombing in a whole new way!

you hear about a fun fiber event this
summer, please share it on the Ravelry
forum or email the membership at
hookandneedleguild@gmail.com.

Upcoming Programs:
We hope everyone will be able to join in the end of year
celebration at the June meeting. Weather permitting, we
will enjoy the breezes by the Blackstone River on the lawn
beside the Slater Mill. Bring a chair, a beverage, and a
favorite desert to share. Well display all the terrific Knit
Night Hats from the Spring Challenge.
If you havent had a chance to cast on for the Knit Night
Hat, its not too late! This hat is a very quick knit. We will
continue to collect hats and the membership decided that
they would be sent to the recovery effort for Oklahoma
tornado victims in the fall so they will be ready when the
weather gets chilly! This hat is a great stashbuster project
for summer!
Congratulations to Rose! She won the monthly raffle
prize: an $85 gift certificate for a class at Stitches East
this fall and $5 coupon off a purchase from Ball and
Skein. Thank you to the generous member who donated
this prize!
Programming is being planned for the fall. Please bring
your ideas to a meeting, post to the discussion thread on
the Ravelry forum or email Becky or Jen.
