Ancient Civilization Research/Presentation Project

You may do this project with a partner, or independently. I am going to allow you to choose your own
partner and I know you will make a wise decision and work productively together!

Instructions:
1. Choose one of the following ancient civilizations to research:

Ancient China
Ancient India
Ancient Greece
Ancient Rome
The Maya
The Aztecs
The Incas


2. Research your ancient civilization using the headings on the attached planning sheets. These
planning sheets can also be found in your Google Folder. Please fill them out electronically in
your Google Drive and Re-Save with your name.
When planning and organizing ideas, remember to put the information into your own
words.
3. Create a Google Presentation. This will be done during class time either with your partner or
individually.
Your Presentation must include:
i. Points of interest- key points of your research
ii. Relevant pictures that enhance your information
iii. Be no more than 8-10 slides
4. Present your Google Presentation to class, demonstrating what you have learned about your
ancient civilization.
Be sure to include a works cited page/bibliography which should include where you got
all of your information from. (make your last slide in your presentation.)
TIPS FOR SUCCESS:
- Research Research.. Research. Do not just find one source and think it is the best one out there.
Take some time to look around to find the best information you can.
- Good presenters dont read from the screen. They add to what is already there, and engage the
audience with eye contact and discussion.
