Go shopping

Target Students:
Beginners for learning Chinese (International students) who already have
learned Pinyin, but only grasp limited vocabulary (less than 500 words).

Teaching Aims:
It aims to enable students grasping new vocabulary and majority of complement
knowledge after this lesson. Besides, students can practice through the
question/answer and conversations, read the lesson fluently or recite the context,
try to write a short conversation on topic of go shopping and practice within
classmates.

Teaching Aids:
Record of the context, PowerPoint, pictures relevant to new vocabulary

Teaching methods:
Conversation methodDemonstrate method

Teaching Context:
1. Listen to record of the context twice: instructor read at a slow speed, and
enables students reading while listening so that leaving a general impression
for students. Play the record at the natural speed for the second time.
2. Learn new vocabulary: students preview, read following record or instructor
and practice over times.
3. Facilitate students to understand the context via question/answer.
4. Show pictures in order to remember vocabulary and strengthen complement
knowledge: places, foods and items

Foods: shu gufruit, (png gu) apple, (chng zi) orange,
mi{n bobread, (sh c{i) vegetable
Items: (b{o zh) newspaper, (z zh) magazine
5. Role play and make conversations between classmates
