Anti-violence against Women and Their Children

Punishable Acts:
1) Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse
2) Psychological violence
3) Economic abuse

Violations:
- Compelling
- Freedom: conduct
- Physical threats
- Deprivation
- Control using paawa
- Blackmailing
- Marital rape
- Engage in stalking
1. Staying or following the woman or her child everywhere
2. Looking in the window/doors or lingering ouside the residence of the
woman or her child
3. Staying or entering the place where the woman or her child is staying
which is against her will
4. Engaging in any form of violence (e.g. destroying of properties, harm
to those who are close to the woman and her child)
5. Inflicting harm to anyone associated w/ the victim (even pets)

Prohibitions while under the Protection Order (before or during court hearing)

o automobile stays with woman
o temporary or permanent custody of child
o if the perpetrator owns any firearm, it should be surrendered and it is possible for
his license to be revoked
o the women and her children will be directed to the DSDW and other organizations
where they will be given support system

How to apply for Protection Order:
- anyone who have direct knowledge about the incident can report
- report it in any of the nearest regional trial court, metropolitan trial court, municipal trial
court and/or municipal circuit trial court
