Your Tutorial Why am sitting here ?
This is a practice tutorial to help you develop your skills in using a 3D CAD/CAM package.
CAMWorks is a machining package which allows you to practice generating NC code from your
Solidworks models.
You are required to work individually or in pairs in gaining experience in the use of CAMWorks.
It is intended that you work on this during your tutorial time during Week 6 or at a time that suits your
timetable better.

Your Tutorial What do I do ?

Start SolidWorks and digitise the Tools >Add-Ins Tab.

Digitise OK >Help >CAMWorks License Info. You should see a panel similar to the one below
appear.

CAMWorks License Info

Digitise Unselect All and then only select the options shown.
Digitise Update Licenses and then O.K..

The next step is to copy two example files called MILL2AX_1.SLDPRT and MILL3AX_1.SLDPRT
from the directory
C:\CAMWorksData\CAMWorks2012x64\Examples\Mill\.
Copy these files to the D:\work directory.

Open the file MILL2AX_1.SLDPRT in SolidWorks.

The tutorial begins on page 2-2 and finishes in 2-17.
At the conclusion of the tutorial you should be able to generate a simulation and the CNC code of the
machining of the noted example.
