towards themselves, the teacher, and
their peers at all times.
2. Cell phone use will be at a minimum
unless otherwise instructed.
3. Trips to the restroom will be granted with
sparingly due to a short amount of lecture
time.
Consequences Students who fail to follow classroom rules will
be given one warning. The next offense will
result in parent/guardian phone call. The third
and final offense will result in office referral and
further action will be decided from higher
administration.
Absence/ Tardy Policy Regular attendance is essential for success in
this course. Roll will be taken at the beginning of
each class. Students will only be excused with
doctors note or school related absence. Failure
to attend class with more than 5 absences will
result in grade deduction from class. Frequent
absences will result in parent/guardian phone
call followed by conference if absence
continues. Three or more absences for every 6
weeks will result in ISS.
Homework/ Late Work Policy All assignments and homework are expected to
be turned in at assigned date. Daily log/journals
will be turned in every week on Friday to be
graded. Late work will result in 10 points off for
everyday that it is not turned in on time. For
example, a two day late homework assignment
will have 20 points taken off. If the assignment is
not turned in by the 5

For Parents/Guardians
How to help your student be successful My best advice to help your student be
successful in my class is to encourage
participation. Agriculture is a unique subject that
requires hands on experience. If your student is
struggling with my class please feel free to email
or call me and we can set an appointment for
conference or tutoring.
Opportunity to Volunteer An extra set of helping hands is always
welcome! If you would like to volunteer in class,
with field trips or in FFA, please email or call me
at your convenience to discuss some upcoming
opportunities.
