Students can make a difference in this election. Exercise your right to vote! RIDE A ny student in Kentucky whos a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older on election day, has not been convicted of a felony or declared incompetent, and has lived in Kentucky more than 28 days is eligible to vote. If you registered to vote using your school address, you may vote in the November 4 election in the area where you attend school. Here are some things to know: Students may vote in several different locations. The location of your dorm will determine where you vote. See information at right. You can get a ride to the polls by contacting KFTC. See details at right. Youll have to provide identifcation before voting: personal acquaintance of a poll worker, drivers license, credit card, Social Security card, or any other card with both your picture and signature. As long as youre in line by 6 pm, you will be al- lowed to vote (if you stay in line). Sometimes poll workers are not fully aware of the rules. Be prepared to politely but frmly remind them of your eligibility and your right to vote. If your right to vote is challenged, you can ask for help. Ask to speak with precinct election offcers at your polling location. Or call one of the num- bers at right.
