The Meatrix II: Revolting
1. What has happened in regards to sustainable eating in the past few years? better choices.
2. What happens to cows in dairy factories? Tails are cut off, growth hormones, etc.
3. What is rBGH? Why is it given to cows? Artificial growth hormones
4. What happens to the calves? Taken away from their mothers
5. What can be caused by this? Mad cow disease.

theyre changing our government as well.

6. Family farms- since the 1930s the US has lost over 5 million farmers.
7. Cows-have horrible living conditions, contagious diseases, mastitis, and hoof rot.

9. Processing- after they can longer give milk, some are sent to be slaughtered for meat.
10. Workers-low paid, hazardous working conditions, some have died.
11. Downer cows- shouldnt hobble into our food supply.
12. Pesticides- residues accumulate in the fat and tissure of animals.
13. Antibiotics- fed to cows to ward off diseases and nake them grow faster. Increase in antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
14. rBGH- milk from cows are injected with artificial growth hormones and can cause health problems.
15. agribusiness- consolidation of food production concentrates power in the hand of fewer and fewer corporations.
16. waste recycling-methane digesters leave behind maure, heavy metals and other waste byproducts.
17. waste- over-applied to fields which causes many problems and waste contaminates the air, ground, and water.
18. water pollution-runoff has polluted streams, killed millions of fish, and can cause nitrate to leach into private drinking wells.
