Kindergarten Homework Choice Board
Pick 4 activities per week to complete for homework.
Answer them on a separate sheet of paper showing all work and
attach the sheet to this page. All homework is due on Friday.


1. Read a book (or have
someone read to you).
2. Write the title and author.
Find five words in the book that
begin with L, O, G, H, T P, or A
use the words in a sentence.
(You can tell the sentences to
someone and they can write it
for you.)
Challenge: make and illustrate a
word family book ex. Cap, tap,
flap etc.
Write numbers 1 through 20 and
draw items to match the
numbers.
OR

Challenge 1: write numbers by 2s
to 100 and by 5s to 100.

Challenge 2: Write numbers from
10 to 20 then write one more and
one less. Ex. 10= 9, 11; use
headings:
1 less number 1 more
9 10 11
Count objects in your home.
Make a list of at least 5 items
and how many you have.

Challenge: answer the question
how many more would you
need to have 15 of each item. If
you already have 15 go up to 20.
Write your sight words 5 times
each.


Challenge: Use each sight word
in a sentence. Underline your
sight word.


Find 10 items in your home that
begin with the letters Tt, Ll, Oo,
Gg, or Hh.-write the word under
the correct letter: ex.

Challenge: sort your items by
syllable ex. One syllable- grapes,
two-syllable onion, three syllable
potato .
Write your first and last name 5
times. The first letter should be
capitalized and the following
letters should be lower-case.
Use three lines. All letters
should sit on the line.
Challenge: Write 5
sentences(make two questions)
using words that begin with the
letter A. Use capitalization,
spaces and punctuation.
Write 5 words that end with ap
and draw a picture of each
word.

Challenge: Sort these words
clap, that, fog, nap, flat, dog,
slap, sat, log now add a word
for each word family.


Write your abcs upper and lower
case.


Challenge: Look in a dictionary to
find 6 words that begin with Aa.
Write the definition.
Find 3 long a words.
Write your sight words. Write
the consonants in blue and
write the vowels in red.

Challenge: Put your sight words
in alphabetical order writing the
consonants in blue and vowels
in red.
Use counters to add 1 for
numbers 11 through 20.
Ex. 1 +11= 1+20=
Or
Challenge: Write problems for
doubles and answer through 10.
Ex. 1+1; 2+2; 4+4; 10+10

Ex. 15+15; 20+20

Use the computer to make a sight
word word-search and then
complete the puzzle.

Have mom and dad help you
come up with two escape routes
in case of a fire. One route
should be from your bedroom.
Be sure to identify a meeting
place once everyone is outside
safely.
Challenge: Make a map to
show how to get out in case of a
