What Im going to say

Well, we were talking about words in past

tense, can you tell me some words you know
that ends in ed?
As you know regular verbs that ends in ed
doesnt have the same pronunciation, we
have ed endings that sounds like a /t/, /d/
and /id/.
We can classify regular verbs into 3
categories. Now, pay attention to this chart to
recognite the difference.
Now we are going to see a video of a tv show.
Its an interview, so pay attention to the
pronunciation of the words in past.

WHILE

Ss in pairs are going to create a dialog, 30 min

pretending that one of them is a famous
person and the other one is an
interviewer.
The context of the dialog must be an
interview of the childhood or some past
event in the life of the famous person.
Ss are going to present the dialog in front
of the class.

POST-TASK

In order to finish this activity, Ss will write 20 min

the verbs in past tense that the other
group in the activity.
Ss will classify the words that they wrote
depending the final pronunciation.
T probides feedback to the groups.

Ok, now in pairs you are going to create a

dialo. You are going to pretend that you are in
a TV show and one of you is going to be the
interviewer and the other one is going to be a
famous person. It could be a singer, an actor
or actress, etc.
The idea is that in the interview, the celebrity
has to talk about a past event of his/her life.
For example, the interviewer can ask about
his/her childhood or about his/ her holiday,
whatever you want to ask but, it must be a
past event.
The interview must have at least 10 questions
about past events.
You will have 10 minutes to create the dialog
and then you are going to present it in front of
the class. So lets start to work.

Now, you will write the verbs in past tense that you
hear from the other group.
Then, you will classify that verbs depending on if the
verbs ends in /t/, /d/ or /d/
Finally, I will give you a feedback about your
participation in class and you can make some
questions if you still have a doubt.
