Only a couple months into my senior inquiry class I became better applying previous knowledge
to current issues. With the teachers constantly bringing up new topics in the news it allows me to be up
to date. A political issue now in Oregon is measure 91, legalization of recreational marijuana. Using
previous knowledge of studies Ive read I could conclude measure 91 should be passed because of its
many benefits.
I learned to just be a good citizen by respecting laws, helping people in the community, and
making the community better in any way: picking up trash, helping the people that need it, respecting
others, and not cause conflicts with one another. If everyone was a respectful citizen and didnt break
laws the community would be flawless.

Having a discussion with classmates about political issues allows many more different points of
views, gaining knowledge from each person who has something to say. This also allows you to obviously
show your knowledge on the subject.
Being a good citizen by: following the laws, picking up trash, helping the community in any way,
and trying to improve the community in any way. These are the responsibilities of Americans, since
most citizens are beneficial to the community, we thrive, but there is still the people who disobey the
rules, and make society faulty.
