Provide samples of questions/prompts to be given to students:

With our feet!
True or False? Lewis and Clark started their journey in the state of Georgia
False
What is the definition of an explorer?
Someone that travels to a place not seen by many people.

Mixed (Some will have correct answers, others will not.)
Immediate Corrective Feedback:
Will you pre-select correct answers to some or all of the questions and display the correct
response to the class after the SRS activity?
Yes
No
Why or why not? It is important that students see the correct response while studying. I do not
believe that SRS should be used to trick students or prove their thinking wrong while studying.
Use of Data: What data will be collected as a result of this activity. How will it be used and by
whom? (For example: Will information collected from this activity be used to award a grade?
Will the individual information collected be shared with students and/or parents to help them
monitor individual progress? Will you discuss the aggregate, anonymous data with the whole
class to help them learn? Will you use data to differentiate instruction for students? If so,
describe how. ) The information from this activity will be used to award a grade. The resuts
collected during the individual and peer time will count as both participation and a quiz grade.
The test given at the end will be counted as a tes grade.I will use the data from the quiz time to
know what areas need to be reviewed before the test. I will look at over all student performace
to determine the questions for the test.
Describe what will occur after the SRS activity: After the SRS activity I will better know what
information my students know and what areas of content need to be reviewed. I will take the
information from this activity to create a test for my students. Students will take the test using a
SRS site, which will provide me with instant results. I will take the assessment results to conclude
how well students understood the material I taugh.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. (For example: What are you trying that
you have not tried before? What do you hope to learn from this activity? How do you hope it will
help students learn? You must design something that will help you learn something new! Honor
System!) My personal learning goal for this activity is that I will use instant responses to
immediately help students who are struggling with the material. I hope to learn how to correct
the misconception of material before the student takes the assesment knowing the wrong
information. I hope that the students will learn the imprtance of self assessment and will learn
how to self check. My goal for this activity is to help students learn more efficiently.
