Analyze the development of the slave system in the Americas and its impact

assessment with a score of at least 70%
III.Anticipatory Set:
1. Take five minutes to study for the test.
IV. Objective/Purpose:
1. Content Objective: I can demonstrate my knowledge about the slave trade.
2. Language Objective: I can explain the importance and impact of the slave trade.
V. Input
1. Task Analysis:
1. Have students spread out desks
2. Students must complete district assessment individually.
3. Students are allowed to ask any questions that do not provide direct answers or the
definition of vocabulary words.
2. Thinking Levels:
1. Students will demonstrate analysis by organizing and expressing the main ideas of
primary sources.
2. Students will demonstrate comprehension by being able to identify the meaning of a
word through context clues.
3. Students will demonstrate Evaluation by determining the necessity of the slave trade and
providing an evidence based argument which proves their point.
3. Learning Styles:

1. Students with learning impairments can be given additional time.
2. Students with severe learning impairments can be given the test in an isolated

location with the assistance of special education professionals.
