Frequently asked questions on PGEC/PGECET Admissions

1. All originals are with the college where I have studied engineering; I am unable to
produce originals. I have Xerox copies. Help line centers are not allowing for Certificate
Verification?
Ans: Original certificates are required to decide the eligibility of a candidate. Hence PC and/ or
CMM are necessary.
2.Semester wise original marks memos available, but no PC and CMM?
Ans: Atleast CMM is required to decide the eligibility.
3. Can i attend to any HLC or do I need to attend the HLC as per the Distribution of ranks
given in the website?
Ans: Can attend at any HLC which is convenient to you. Distribution of ranks is only an
indication in order to reduce a heavy crowd at one help line center.
4. I am qualified in both GATE and PGECET and in PGECET more than one Test, can I
need to register two times?
Ans: No, not necessary. You need to attend only once, automatically the other qualified exam
hall ticket numbers will link to your details. In verification form you can see that both hall
ticket numbers and ranks are printed. If that numbers of other exam are not printed in the
verification form inform to verification officer at the HLC and see that all other exams are
printed.
5. I am qualified in both GATE and PGECET exams; if i get seat in PGECET then am i
eligible for fee reimbursement?
Ans: As you are qualified in GATE; you are not entitled for fee reimbursement. You can claim
AICTE scholarship.
