To download LabVIEW, users should go to the university's software licensing page and select LabVIEW to order. They will then receive an email with an activation key and download link. For Windows, users download the 32-bit version of LV and may also download device drivers. They install LV and activate it with their key. For Mac, users download and install LV and activate it with their key. Device drivers are only needed for Windows if using physical devices on one's own computer, otherwise a simulation will be provided.

If you want to use the physical devices on day 3 with your own computer download the drivers: dcd_Aug_14_1.exe and dcd_Aug_14_2.exe 4. Install LabVIEW after downloading. When it asks you to use your activation key, you only need to activate the first item with the key. You might have to register your email with National Instruments. 5. Install LabVIEW 3. When it asks you to use your activation key, you only need to activate the first item with the key. You might have to register your email with National Instruments. Note on Drivers: Drivers are needed to use the physical devices with your computer. If you want to use your own computer for lab on day 3 you will need the drivers, if not you can use the computers in lab. As far as I know, drivers are only available for Windows. Physical devices will be required to test your project, however I have made a physical device simulation for you to test your program at home without physical devices (works for Mac too). So, unless you want to use your own computer on day 3, you do not need to download the drivers. More information will be given out later on the project.
