Maximalist and Minimalist Approaches to Justice.

important contribution is found in the Preface of The Idea of
Justice, although it is barely stated and articulated in the rest
of the book. He states that [w]hat moves us, reasonably
enough, is not the realization that the world falls short of
being completely justwhich few of us expectbut that there
are clearly remediable injustices around us which we want to
eliminate.The goal is therefore not to achieve a perfectly just
world [but] to remove clear injustices to the extent [one]
could.
