Conclusion
Based on the results of the study, the following are concluded:
1. After 24 hours of incubation, different concentrations of kalachuchi leaf extract yields
varying zone of inhibition. T4 100% of Kalachuchi leaf extract shows greater zone
of inhibition among all the treatments yielding 26.67 mm thus it exceeds the positive
control which is the Vancomycin = 20 mm. Following the T4, T3 75% concentration
of Kalachuchi extract yields 19.67mm mean zone of inhibition. While, T1 and T2
showed no zone of inhibition which means that S. epidermidis was resistant to 25%
and 75% concentration of Kalachuchi leaf extract.

2. T4 100 % concentration of Kalachuchi extract has the greatest mean zone of

inhibition among all the treatments.

3. Statistical test shows that there is a significant difference between the mean zone of
inhibition of the different concentrations of Kalachuchi leaf extract.
Recommendations
Based from the findings of the study, the researchers recommend the followring:
1. Utilized the other parts of the Kalachuchi plant in testing its inhibitory effect.
2. Other strains of bacteria may be tested especially Gram negative bacteria of inhibitory
effect of Kalachuchi leaf extract.
3. Other solvent for extraction may be utilized and compared for greater scope of the
study.

4. Other method of antimicrobial assay can be used with regards to this kind of research
study.
