RUDIMENTS OF MUSICAL NOTATION.
Mustcat sounds are represented by certain characters called Notes, which are named after the first seven
letters of the Alphabet, viz, A, B, C, D, E, F, @
These Notes are placed on and between Five parallel lines called a “Stave,” thus —

{n Pianoforte Music two signs called “Clefs” are used, namely, the “Treble Clef” and the “ Bass
