La Justice, La Balance

Et La Libert

This poem came to me from reading Bouch-Leclercq on LAstrologie Grecque and it made
me think of how justice, balance and liberty relate. I will also provide a translation in english
(this was written in French and not translated into French).

La Justice dit: Connais Toi Toi-Mme,

La Balance dit: Dmocracy lui-mme,
Et La Libert dit: galit moiti quand-mme.

Avec Balance, Justice est sans breume,

Avec Libert, Balance est sans rheume,
Avect Justice, Libert en balance pneume.

Justice est maman Libert;

Balance est maman galit;
Et Libert est maman Fraternit.

Et avec Libert, galit et Fraternit:

La Vie ait t dans Justice, Balance et Libert!

That Justice said: know you Your-Self,

That Balance Scale said: Democracy It-Self,
And That Liberty said: Equality is wet in any self.

With Balance, Justice is without fog;

With Liberty, Balance is without clog;
With Justice, Liberty in balance is cogged.

Justice is mamma to Liberty;

Balance is mamma to Equality;
And Liberty is mamma to Fraternity.

And with Liberty, Equality and Fraternity,

That Life shall have been in Justice, Balance and Liberty!
