UNIT SCOUTER OF THE YEAR NOMINATION

To: All Registered Adult Leaders of the Loma Prieta District

This is an opportunity to recognize an adult leader in your Unit who has rendered a noteworthy
service during this past year. Your Committee should make the decision as to whom to
nominate. A member from each Unit in the District will be recognized as “Unit Scouter of the
Year” at the Annual District Dinner. Please note, this award is also available to parents who are
not registered adult leaders, but have still given noteworthy service.

Encourage other unit members to be present to share the time with the recipient. Please give
some detail of the nominee in the space below. Include positions held in Scouting, awards
earned, service to youth outside of Scouting and any other community service etc. Attach a
separate sheet if necessary. All submissions must be received by March 1, 2009 at 55 E. San
Joaquin St., Salinas, CA, 93901 to ensure processing.

It is strongly encouraged for every Pack, Troop, Team, Crew, and Ship to nominate a
Unit Scouter of the Year.

Recipients and nominators will be notified via telephone by March 15, 2010.
