Systematic Observation 1: Teacher Feedback/Questioning

Chris had 7 feedbacks and questionings. He had 6 class feedbacks/questionings; 4 skill
developments, 1 behavior, and 1 checking for understandings. He had an individual
feedback/questioning for behavior. Since todays lesson was dancing, he gave lots of instruction
to teach his students how to dance and this fact was skill development feedbacks for class.
Individual feedback was behavior. The reason he didnt have much individual feedback is
because most students were following their teachers instruction and he went through his
lesson smoothly without giving many individual behavior feedbacks.
From the fact of this lesson, Chris didnt seems to need an improvement for next lesson
as far as it goes like todays lesson. Hes goal maybe keeping up his skill development
feedbacks/questions and decrease behavior feedbacks.

Systematic Observation 3: Time Analysis

Total number of intervals: 126

Total number of A intervals: 48, equating to 720 seconds dedicated to activity.
Total number of I intervals: 26, equating to 390 seconds dedicated to instruction.
Total number of M intervals: 50, equating to 780 seconds of management time.

Chris had 12 minutes of activity time, 6 minutes 30 seconds for instruction, and 13 minutes
of management time. In todays lesson, it was well balanced time analysis for his lesson. The
subject of his lesson increase his activity and instruction time; the dance. Because dancing is
more group based activity, many students did not have to stand there for nothing. They all
danced together. The fact that he increase his instruction isnt a problem for this activity
because the activity dance itself need lots of instructions. Because many students participated
to dance, the management time decreased.
This is a huge improvement, compare to last weeks lesson. His goals to improve for next
lesson are try to choose the similar subject (dancing; whereas group work based activity) to
keep interest of his students and simplify the instruction.
