Course Description:
This course will cover basic neuroanatomical concepts with a primary emphasis
on function and behavior. We will also discuss some psychiatric disorders as the result of
insult or injury to the brain.

Course Objectives:
• Familiarity with neuroanatomical images (brain atlas plats, MRI, CAT, PET
scans) and neuro-medical terminology.
• Ability to locate and identify structures and relate those structures to their
function…and relate function to brain structure.

Student Evaluation:
There are four (4) evaluations. The first three each cover one third of the course
material and are worth 20% of the final grade. The last, a cumulative final exam, is worth
40% of the final grade.
