Breath Work can be used for many purposes. The main 3 are:
Mental
To Calm the Mind or Help Focus It
Physical
To Aid in the Body Before, During, or After a Particular Movement
To Accelerate Healing or to Relieve Pain
Occult
To Influence Another Person
To Charge an Oneself, Another Person, or an Object with the Desired Kind of Force
(Many techniques could easily be placed into at least two or thee of the above
categories, as these are very general.)
Physical Breath and Chi Breath (Guided by the Yi a.k.a. with Visualization)
Breathing Through Various Parts of the Body
Tensing and Relaxing the Muscles in Coordination with the Breath
Bronchial Mudras
Intervals in Breathing
The Baby Breath
The Buddhas Teaching on Breath
