White Oak River Basin

*Fragrant White Lily

Highlights:
*It's awesome for biking and hiking, also great for kayaking and river rafting (canoeing) on.
*Has rare insect-eating plants like the Venus Fly Trap.
*The forest and wetlands area covers almost 50% of the White Oak river basin.
*Large pop of carnivorous plants (bigger than any national forest.)

Our impacts as humans on the White Oak River:


In the city of Jacksonville, us as citizens have projects to clean up New River. This is after waste
was discharged into the basin making us think about having a waste treatment plant. This was
after the contaminated water's oxygen was depleted... Scarce. Us as a community are growing
and trying to make sure that the river is long and thriving for our future generations to see later
on. We consistently maintain the river to make this happen.
