A pyramid is a structure where its outer surfaces are triangular and have single point at the top,
The base of a pyramid can be polygon shape, meaning that a pyramid has at least three outer
triangular surfaces.
Known as 'mr' or 'mir' by the Egyptians, the pyramid was a royal tomb and considered the place
of ascent for the spirit of the deceased pharaoh. Don Dun Dun !!!
From the top point of the pyramid, it was thought, the soul would travel to the after-life of the
Field of Reeds and, if it so chose, could easily return to earth.
Some believe Egypt's large pyramids are the work of the Old Kingdom society in the Nile Valley
after 3000 B.C. Historical analysis tells us that the Egyptians built the Giza Pyramids in a span of
85 years between 2589 and 2504 BC.
Mummies
A mummy is a deceased human or animal whose skin and organs have been preserved by either
intentional or accidental exposure to chemicals, extreme cold, very low humidity, or lack of air,
so that the recovered body does not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions.
Mummies of humans and other animals have been found on every continent both as a result of
natural preservation through unusual conditions, and as cultural artifacts.
Over one million animal mummies have been found in Egypt, many of which are cats.
The oldest known mummy is a child, one of the mummies found in the Cameroons Valley, Chile,
which dates around 5050 BCE The oldest known naturally mummified human corpse is a severed
head dated as 6,000 years old, found in 1936 CE

Egyptians like the rest of the Muslims all over the world fast
at holy month of Ramadan, it is the time when they all come
close to each other and respect each other, it is the time
Egypt stay awake at night.
During this month, donations, giving and charity would be at
its highest rates, it is the time for forgiveness and Ramadan is
a holy month for Egyptians during this month people greet
each other and celebrate the month with friends and
relatives.
During this month Egyptians stay awake at night and spend
time in prayer and spiritual activities. Also they donate for
charity and indulge of renewal relationship and sharing love
and affection with each other, It is a wonderful month.
Final Thoughts
While I was researching for my PowerPoint presentation I came across many old pictures and
learned many things about my country. I am glad that I had the chance to share my culture with
you.
Egypt was a beautiful country and it still is, except for the political aspect of it. This is still going
on as we speak and my only wish or hope is to see Egypt the way it was once, a beautiful
country with many great sites.
Thank you for coming on this journey with me and I hope that you learned about my country
and enjoyed presentation.
