As a sports nutrition volunteer at UK, I am responsible for preparing various snacks, meals and shakes for
the UK football team. My contributions are important to ensure athletes are properly nourished to achieve
peak performance during practice and games. Other duties include preparing various supplements for
athletes as well as encouraging them to consume fluids to avoid dehydration issues and miscellaneous
kitchen duties.

At Baystate VNA, I had the opportunity to work with patients suffering from Congestive Heart Failure
(CHF) under the guidance of Kathleen Roberts, RDN. Throughout my time at Baystate, I was able to go on
out-patient visits and also stay in the office for charting which gave me the opportunity to experience two
very different aspects of a dietetics career. I was primarily responsible for creating a recipe booklet for the
CHF patients that contained more suitable and appropriate meal choices. The recipes were primarily
Spanish, Russian and Italian to meet the needs of the ethnic groups our patients represented. Some of the
recipes were translated into Spanish and Russian to make it easier for patients that did not speak English as
their first language.

Package To Go is a company that sells care packages for college and boarding school students across the
United States. As an assistant manager I am responsible for taking inventory and handling packaging and
shipping duties. I also assisted my boss in selecting food products that were healthier and more
environmentally friendly options for customers. This position also includes many customer service and
communication skills.

Genesis Healthcare - Heritage Woods Agawam, MA

DIETARY AIDE: June 2009 August 2011

Heritage Woods is an assisted living community for elderly people mostly suffering with dementia and
Alzheimers disease. As a dietary aide I was responsible for serving and preparing meals for residents. In
addition, I had kitchen duties such as washing dishes and practicing proper food storage and sanitation. This
position inspired me to further build and develop my communication skills since it was a vital part of this
job.

As a hostess at Enoteca, I am responsible for greeting and seating customers as well as communicating to
