Describe how you would Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing Opportunity in your
classroom: My class would use this site to collaborate and get feedback on their essays in order
to plan, revise and edit their pieces until they are done to the best of their ability.
What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity in a
classroom? Internet access would be required. Most likely the computer lab or laptop cart would
be checked out or reserved for our online work sessions.
Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience (note: all of them
may not be addressed in the project, but most should be if you are reaching a high LoTi Level.):
a. Collaboration with peers, near-peers, mentors outside their classroom and often
beyond their school: The students are getting to collaborate with experts within
this website.
b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (collecting original data and or
producing original products as a result of engaging in the project): The students
are creating their own writing pieces to get feedback on.
c. Higher-order thinking: The students will have to think hard to plan, revise and edit
their pieces to the point where they are complete and final.
d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care about their
product: Once the students have gotten help from experts they will be able to
publish their writings to their website.

What Level of Technology Implementation best describes this learning activity and Why? This
would more than likely reach level 6 on the LoTi scale because the students are using everything
they have at their use to get expert help to finalize their work.
How could you implement this proposed learning experience and still comply with your districts
Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies? Because this site is already a secured site and
parents permission forms could be obtained before hand. Teacher supervision would be very
high.
