Eligibility Requirements for 2014-2015 All-Region Jazz Band
Auditions are open to students in grades 6-12 who are currently enrolled in a public or private school in the state of
North Carolina and who are a part of the jazz ensemble/band program at their school at least one semester during the
school year in which they audition. The students band director must be a member in good standing in NAfME and
NCMEA and must accompany and check in the student(s) on the day of the audition. The audition fee is $15.00 per
student. All registration forms sent after the December 17th deadline will pay a $30 fee per student. Students
may audition for more than one instrument. Please list each instrument as a separate registration, and the student
must pay the fee for each audition. Also, please put a number next to the choice of which instrument they would
choose to play if the student makes the band on more than one instrument at an equal level.

Band Directors are urged to double-check the audition requirements. The director is also
responsible to see that each student is cognizant of all audition requirements.
The students listed above are to be registered for participation in the All-Region Jazz Band Clinic
Auditions. They meet all eligibility requirements for jazz as stated by the Jazz Section of the NCMEA.
