TSW demonstrate understanding of the structure and sound of selected word patterns with

TSW answer post reading questions involving selected text and beyond the text concepts with
80% accuracy. (Post Reading Discussion)
TSW participate in the group activity of creating a summary sentence of A Funny Man by
inputting at least two ideas. (Writing About Reading)
TSW orally answer a question about the selected text and produce it on paper. (Writing

LESSON INTRODUCTION:
As usual, we will start out by talking about our community guidelines and we will get to draw
and write. Next, we will read A Funny Man one more time and write about what weve read. I
have a new book once we have finished reading and writing about the funny man and his day.
The new book is about a teddy bear. If we have time we will get to color the pictures you draw
after the community guidelines.

THE PLAN:

1. Learning Community Guidelines


a. How many of our guidelines can you remember?
b. Read them together. Teacher points and everyone reads.
2. Fun Activity
a. Draw a picture and write a sentence about the picture
3. Guided Reading Day 2- A Funny Man
4. Guided Reading Day 1- Teddy Bear for Sale
5. Extra Activity
a. Color the picture you drew at beginning of class.
CLOSURE:
Good job reading today, girls. Next Tuesday will be our last day together. So, next Tuesday we
will finish our teddy bear book and then I believe we get to have a special little party.
