    Question: Did you have a good weekend? (yes, no)
    Greeting: Under the chin wave
    Activity: Hard and Soft C sort (review)
    Standard: 2.SL.1.a Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., gaining the floor in

    respectful ways, listening to others with care, speaking one at a time about the topics and texts
    under discussion)
    Objective: The student will be able to follow agreed-upon rules for discussion.

    Question: Write a plural noun.
    Greeting: Good ol handshake
    Activity: Plural noun (pick a word and tell me how to make it plural)
    Standard: 2.SL.1.a Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., gaining the floor in

    respectful ways, listening to others with care, speaking one at a time about the topics and texts
    under discussion)
    Objective: The student will be able to follow agreed-upon rules for discussion.

    Question: Write a word that ends with one of our final blends (nd, ng, nk, nt ft, xt, & mp)
    Greeting: Hello in French, Bonjour
    Activity: Final Blend sort
    Standards:
    o 2.SL.1.a Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., gaining the floor in respectful
    ways, listening to others with care, speaking one at a time about the topics and texts
    under discussion)
    o 2.RF.3.a Distinguish long and short vowels when reading regularly spelled one-syllable
    words.

    Objectives:
    o The student will be able to follow agreed-upon rules for discussion.
    o Students will be able to decode and read words with short and long vowels.
