Technology Lesson Plan

Reflection
In my classroom we take advantage of the flipchart software. We use a
flipchart on the promethean board for many lessons. Flip charts are a lot like a
PowerPoint, but interactive. We use it to make interactive math games, word
scrambles for word work, and much more. In the beginning of my teaching, my
cooperating teacher made the flip carts. I would use them with the students and
see how engaged the students were. They love to use the interactive whiteboard.
I soon started to make my own flip charts for a variety of different subjects. I
have learned how to create them and utilize the flipchart software and the many
tools that go along with it. I couldnt imagine a classroom without them now that I
have had the opportunity to use the flipcharts. My favorite thing about using the
flipcharts is that the students are not only listening to me teach, but they are the
teachers too. They get to come up to the board and show the class what they
know. It keeps the students excited about the content.

This was a flip chart made after reading the book Eat Like A Bear. In the little yellow box there is
different pictures. I drag each picture out of the box and we decide if the picture i either a plant
or an animal that the bear ate in the story.

I used a flipchart to give the students background knowledge on China before reading the book
Tikki Tikki Tembo.

I created a PowerPoint for math and then converted that into a flipchart so that I was able to
write on each slide.

Different scenarios were pulled out of the red box. We would determine if the scenario were
either an emergency or non-emergency.
