Rafael Nadal Parera is a professional tennis player currently number

1 in the world. His success on clay courts has earned him his
nickname. King of the clay.

Nadal, was born on June 3 1986 now 28 years of age was born in
Manacor, Spain. He is currently worth $80 million and has been
ranked within the top 5 since 2003.

When Nadal was three his uncle Toni, (former tennis player)
Started playing with him and trained him up.

At the age of eight Nadal won an under twelve tennis championship.

Toni Nadal realised that Rafael played his forehand shots with two
hands so encouraged Nadal him to play left hand, to this day Nadal
plays left handed.

When Nadal was just 12 years old, he won the Spanish and European
tennis titles in his age group, and at age 15, he turned pro and
started playing on the junior circuit.

At only the age of 16, Nadal joined the Wimbeldon Boys Tournament
and made it to the semi finals.

In June 2014, Rafael won his ninth French open title against Novak
Djokovich! The match was 4 games, 3-6 to Djokovich then 7-5 6-2 6-4
to Nadal earning him a total of 14 grand slams! Today, Rodger
Federer holds the lead with 17, but Nadals only 3 titles away!
