INDICTMENTS IN FERGUSON AND NEW YORK
Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., Leading Clergy and Community Activists Will Share Response to the
Lack of Indictments in the Michael Brown and Eric Garner Cases
Washington, DC December 3, 2014 - The Rainbow PUSH Coalition, led by the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, will be
joined by national and area clergy that include Reverend Grainger Browning, senior pastor, Ebenezer AME Church;
Reverend Jamal Bryant, founder and senior pastor, Empowerment Temple; Reverend and Dr. George Holmes;
Reverend Tony Lee, senior pastor, Community of Hope AME Church; Reverend Lamont Wells, New York CityAssistant Bishop of Metropolitan New York Lutheran Synod, among others, to address the failure to indict in both
the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases. Eugene Puryear, one of the leaders of the #DCFerguson movement, will
also speak. This group of leaders will express their public outrage and issue a call to action to the recent turn of
events.
The press conference is scheduled during the Rainbow PUSH Coalitions Annual DC Symposium, The Future of
Civil Rights: Moving towards First Class Economic, Political and Digital Citizenship scheduled for December 4-5,
2014 in Washington, DC.
