When students are done, they may go on cool math games and play a math game. If the
internet is not working, since there were technical issues the other day, students will
draw the story of the three little pigs in several scenes in Paint.

Reflections from the

lesson

Most students completed their word webs, but the process was much more difficult than I
anticipated. I tried to plan everything into perfect steps and even provide visual
instructions (print screens of what to do) but there was a lot of trouble simply typing
links. I ended up playing the video at the front of the class for students to watch, and it
worked out much better. I explicitly wrote the link to the mind mapping site and
explained that students have to press a key called enter in between words. The process
was lengthy, because I did not expect that students would not know simple keys. I would
not call this lesson a flop, as it did turn out well, but my stress levels were a little too high.
Patience is always key, students will get there if we wait.
