PROFESSIONAL GROWTH PLAN

SCHOOL YEAR:

ACTION PLAN
I will thouroughly write my lesson plans, ensuring to try to
have every portion of the template filled in and accounted
for.
I will ask my TA if I can teach lessons in different subjects
so that I can get a feel for how to plan a lesson in different
areas.
I will use references from my C&I instructor for how to
correctly make a lesson plan.
I will ask for feedback from my TA and UC on how to
improve my lesson plans.
I will reflect on lessons I teach, noting what worked and
what didnt for future reference.

Throughout PSI and essentially ongoing into PSII
and PSIII

GOALS/OBJECTIVES

To better understand how to lesson plan and


what all needs to be included in a lesson plan.
I would like to feel more confident in my
lesson plans. I would like to be able to create
lessons that are connected to one another

ACHIEVEMENT
My measures of achievement will be having
multiple lesson plans completed by the end of
PSI in a variety of subjects that show progress
throughout my practicum. Practice makes perfect

ACTION PLAN
I intend to exercise at least once a week, doing
something fun such as rock climbing, walking with
friends, or running.
I will ask a friend to do this with me, a friend from
our DEF group who has similar goals to me.
I will make sure to take breaks on the weekend to
visit with friends, see a movie or get outside and
have fun!

Once a week for sure but more if I have time

To relieve stress by taking time for myself in the form of
exercise and/or outings with my friends.

ACHIEVEMENT
I will have done some sort of physical activity
once a week for the duration of my practicum
and marked it on my dayplanner. At the end of
practicum I can look back and ensure I did this.
Another indicator is my stress levels, if I find I
am far too stressed out then clearly I havent
been working towards this goal. I should have
one day a week where I feel relaxed and stress
free!

ACTION PLAN
Knowing that I have to create lesson plans for my
practicum, I will incorporate at least one form of
assessment into each plan, trying to include a new one
each time.
I will observe and ask my TA about his/her assessment
strategies
I will ask for tools and resources from my TA and also
ask for feedback on my choices
I will reflect on my choices of assessment after the
lesson in a journal.

GOALS/OBJECTIVES
I would like to have at least 5 different specific assessment
tools and use 2 or more of them for the lessons I teach in
practicum. I would like to gain a better understanding of how
to assess students both formative and summative
