Gross & Fine Motor Skills:

Scribbles vigorously:
o Annaysha put on a smock and started scribbling on the painting easel.
After asking the teacher she said that the children are allowed to paint on
the easel whenever they want however this is the first time Ive seen a
child paint on it.
Jumps in place:
o Carter was jumping in around the room today.
Walks on tiptoes:
o Didnt see anyone walking on tip-toes.
Place one 2 block on another 2 block
o Some of the blocks were out today however only Morgan and Bennett
were playing with them.
Scribbles with large crayon on a large piece of paper:
o When Annaysha was coloring she wasnt using crayons she was using
watercolors.
Turns 2-3 pages in a large book while sitting in adults lap:
o None of the children were reading books with adults however Clara and
Sam were in the book corner looking at books by themselves. Annaysha
had brought over some books for me to read however she lost interest real
quick and left in the middle of me reading the book.

Deferred imitation of an adults novel actions on objects after a long delay:

Carters favorite animal is the Rhino so he played with that a lot and
Morgan played with the sea creatures.
Says first recognizable word:
o Annaysha is still having trouble speaking full sentences however she did
flashcards today and when showed pictures of flowers, animals, simple
everyday objects she could say them. She is saying more words than what
she did when I first got here.
Expands vocabulary from 50-200 words:
o All of the kids except for Annaysha however she is started to expand
much more.
Combine 2 words:
o All the kids can do this however Annaysha cannot. She can say words one
at a time but I havent heard her combine words.
Sorts objects into categories:
o Morgan sorted the blocks he was playing with in color. He would put
colors together in his tower, or whatever he built.
Takes turn in games:
o *Didnt notice any children playing specific games.

Social and Emotional Skills:

Displays self-conscious emotions of shame, embarrassment, guilt and/or pride:

dont like her and rambled on about how Aniyah hit him with
something.

o Carter and Sam once again are playing together. I feel like when Sam
moves up next year it will be rough for Carter because he will be losing a
friend.

o Most of the children do what theyre told and with this age group you
normally see some resistance. Clara does have a bit of an attitude and will
tend to pretend she cant hear you when you give her directions to follow.

o Im not really sure if it was gender-stereotyped choices but Ive noticed
him doing it beforeCarter played with the Rhinos and the animals most
of the time.
