Pareto chart:
There is more yellow skittles than any other color. I thought that red would have the most. No,
my results were not the same as the other people in the class.

I think the shape of the distribution is random, because they dont count how many of each
they put in the bag. For example, whatever you want to be in the bag isnt always there.
Yes, the graph did reflect what I expected to see because, not all of the bag are the same , so
everyone is going to have a different answer.
Yes, the data by the whole class is similar to my graph.

Difference between Categorical and Quantitative data?
Categorical data: that can be sorted into categories, referred to as frequency, things are
grouped according to some common property and the number of member of the group is
recorded. (Male/female).
Quantitative data: data which are measurable or quantifiable such as length, weight.
Graphs Used for Categorical/Qualitative Data:
Pie Charts
A circle is divided proportionately and shows what percentage of the whole falls into each
category .These charts are simple to understand.
Bar Charts
Bar charts also show percentages in various categories and allow comparison between
categories. The vertical scale is frequencies, relative frequencies, or percentages.
The horizontal scale shows categories.
Pie charts and bar charts can both be effective methods of portraying qualitative data. Bar
charts are better when there are more than just a few categories and for comparing two or
more distributions.
As you'd probably guess, statistics involve using numbers from data. Not all data are the
same and knowing what type of data we're dealing with will guide us through what we can
do with it. The two basic divisions of data are qualitative or categorical data and quantitative
or numeric data.

Quantitative: Weight in pounds, Length in inches, Time in seconds, Number of questions,

correct on a quiz.
Categorical:Model of car, Gender, Yes or No, Pass or Fail.
