THREADGILLS CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN


ENVIRONMENT OF RESPECT
Domain 2a

Respectfulness: Students will be polite, value the opinion of others, treat others the way they like to be treated, and listen.
Trustworthy: Students will be honest, do what is right, and give found items to the proper authorities.
Caring: Students will give without thinking about what they will get in return, think about other peoples feelings, watch out for
others, and help those in need.
Fairness: Students will work to change things that are not fair, listen to others ideas and viewpoints, include everyone, and treat
all equally.
Citizenship: Students will volunteer, help their neighbors/classmates, keep their classroom clean, follow the rules, and
represent themselves well.

MANAGING STUDENT BEHAVIOR


Domain 2d

Standards of conduct are clear and created by the teacher and students.
Classroom rules will be created and voted upon by the students.
Students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately in a learning environment.
Teachers monitoring of students behaviors is preventive.
Students will monitor their own behavior and their peers behavior by correcting one another respectfully and referring to the
class rules they created.
Teachers response to students misbehavior will be sensitive to individual students needs.

MANAGING CLASSROOM PROCEDURES


Domain 2c & 2e

Groups will work independently and productively at all times, with students assuming responsibility for productivity.
There are established routines for handling materials and supplies, with students assuming responsibility for operations.
Systems for performing non-instructional duties are well established with students assuming responsibility for operations.
The classroom is a safe environment and students can adjust furniture to advance their own purpose in learning.

CULTURE OF LEARNING
Domain 2b

Students demonstrate through active participation, curiosity, and attention to detail.


Students work will be posted throughout the classroom, they will take pride in their work, and initiate improvements such as
revising drafts on their own, helping peers, and ensuring high quality of work is displayed.
Students will maintain a writing portfolio to view and reflect on how well their writing skills have improved.
Both students and teachers will establish and maintain through learning activities, interactions, and classroom environment
high expectations for the learning of all students.
Both teacher and students will use physical resources and will ensure all resources are equally accessible to all students.

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES
Domain 2b

Teacher will set objectives and provide feedback.


Teacher will help students develop understanding with cues, questions, and plenty of practice.
Teacher will help students extend their knowledge by identifying similarities, differences, and generating and testing
hypothesis.
Teacher will deliver content clearly and target multiple learning styles.
