it a good toss until it's well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk

together the egg, cream, and stock, and pour that over the
cornbread. Stir the stuffing together and stuff the cavity of the
turkey. You could also spoon it into a buttered baking dish and
put it in the oven along with the turkey. Bake until hot and crusty
on top, about 30 minutes.

TRADITIONS
My family has many different traditions during the holiday
season. Two of my favorite traditions are decorating the
Christmas tree with my mom and having a Shulenberger family
day.
The day after Thanksgiving, my mom and I spend the day getting
all the Christmas decorations out. While we work, we always
play music and eat delicious Thanksgiving leftovers. The biggest
decoration in our house is our Christmas tree. It is a fake tree that
has to be assembled with a color code. It has been in our family
for over 20 years! Every year, I assemble the tree. Then, my mom
puts lights, beads, and Poinsettias all over the tree. After that, my
mom and I work together to get all of our ornaments put on the
tree. Working together with my mom to get the house decorated
for winter is always a cherished tradition!
My other favorite holiday tradition is having a Shulenberger
family day. This is a day where all of my step-siblings and their
families come over to celebrate the holidays. Every year, we eat
BBQ and spend the day bonding. The boys always play guitar
and video games together, while the girls go thrift shopping. We
usually dont see each other, so this is always a great day to catch
up!

REVIEW

As I look back on this year, I am proud to say that I have made

some outstanding accomplishments. Two of my favorite
accomplishments from this year would be making it half-way
through my junior year in college and holding two leadership
positions in my sorority.

2 tablespoons butter
2 onions, chopped
1 egg
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken stock
6 large cornmeal muffins, cubed
Handful fresh sage leaves, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the
onions and cook, stirring, for about 10 minutes, or until soft and
caramelized. Add sage and scrape into a large mixing bowl. Add
the cornbread pieces, season well with salt and pepper, and give

As this calendar year ends, I will be half-way through my junior

year at the University of Arkansas. I am very proud of myself for
sticking with it and continuing to grow in knowledge. In two and
a half short years I will be out in the world with a Masters in
Early Childhood Education. I can see the light at the end of the
tunnel! Every year that passes is a reminder that I am improving
myself and working hard.
I am a member of the Kappa Delta sorority at the University of
Arkansas. This year, I got the opportunity to hold two different
leadership roles in my sorority. Over the summer and during
recruitment, I was the PNM (Potential New Member) Review
Chair. My job was to organize information about the PNMs and
prepare the chapter for recruitment. My other leadership role was
Pearl Point Committee Chair. My job for this position was to
organize points that the members got throughout the semester for
participating in different events. I was happy to have these
positions and make a difference in my sorority!
